Call for presentation of Abstracts, Full papers, and Poster.
You are kindly invited to participate at the 2028 IAHR APD Congress not only as an observer / learner but as an oral or poster presenter. You may present your work by sending in an,
- An extended Abstract,
- Short Abstract and Full Paper or,
- Poster, after sending a short Abstract
- Presenter at a Special session
Extended Abstracts, full papers, poster presentations and Special Session papers will form the proceedings of the congress.
- If you intend to send in a full paper, then a shortened Abstract (1/2) page could be initially submitted for review, and if accepted then a full paper submitted and presented. Full papers will form the main proceedings.
- You may also directly submit an extended Abstract (without a full paper) and if accepted after review that could be presented. Extended Abstracts will also form the proceedings.
- To present by Poster you yet need to submit a shorted Abstract (1/2) page for review. This shortened Abstract will also form part of the proceedings.
- Special Sessions could work through the session coordinator or ideally via the Abstract / paper submission system on the web and presented. This too will form the proceedings.
The Themes stated are not exclusive and delegates should not hesitate to send Abstracts / papers even if they view their articles as not specified in the sub themes.
Call for proposals for Special session
A special session would be a session pertaining to a special topic of interest, while it will be distinct from parallel sessions it will be fully integrated to the congress program open to all registered participants. An individual, group or an organization could be the organizer of the special session. The convenor and speakers too must be registered participants of the congress. The convenor will be responsible for the organization and soliciting presentations for the special session. There will be no financial support provided.

for coordination of the session. This could also be done directly via the web site or by email. Please note expression of interest to convene a special session (submission of proposal for special session), should include theme, expected paper numbers at onset, and thereafter paper and author details. Participants of special sessions could submit Abstracts and Papers via the submission system, or by coordinating with the convenor of the special session, who could then coordinate with Congress secretariat or Chair of LOC. These papers will also make up the proceedings of the congress.
Please note the deadline for expression of interest for special sessions is 31 st August 2027

Abstracts could be both,
- Shortened version (½ page to maximum 1 page) or,
- Extended version (maximum 2 pages) and,
Should follow same format as per paper format with relevant headings where applicable.
Page set with 25 mm margin top, bottom, left and right.
General text to be of 11 points, Times New Roman with no line spacing (0 pt).
Fully justified. Follow details as stated below.
- Shortened version - ½ page will include Items I, 2, 3, 4 (Abstract), and text. If one page you may include Tables / figures.
- Extended version – 2 pages will include items 1, 2, 3, 4 and any or all the following.
